Catenary power transmission means that the high voltage of the local power grid along the high-speed railway is converted into 27.5 kV single-phase power frequency alternating current through the railway traction substation, and then transmitted to the catenary above the high-speed railway line to provide kinetic energy for the operation of the high-speed train.

The Yawan high-speed railway line is 142.3 kilometers long, with a total of 384.6 kilometers of catenary conductors and 4 traction substations.

It is reported that the Yawan high-speed railway, which connects the Indonesian capital Jakarta and Bandung, will begin full construction in June 2018.

As the first high-speed railway in Southeast Asia with a maximum designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour, when it is completed and opened to traffic, the travel time of Yawan Shuangcheng will be reduced from more than 3 hours to 40 minutes, forming a fast passenger passage.
