On May 24, the wechat official account of the Internet Society of China issued a post today, reminding netizens to be alert to the new scam of "AI face swapping".

The association said the public needs to be vigilant against new scams using AI technology. The Internet Society of China has put forward the following two suggestions to prevent the new "AI face swapping" scam:

01. Be the first person responsible for personal information security

1, strengthen the awareness of personal information protection, prevent information leakage: do not easily provide face, fingerprint and other personal biological information to others; Do not easily disclose their identity card, bank card, verification code and other information; Do not covet the convenience of your ID card, bank card photos, etc., directly stored in the phone.

2, strange links do not point, strange software do not download, strange friends do not add at will, unknown two-dimensional code do not scan at will. Manage your circle of friends, and don't open up screen sharing to strangers.

3. Do a good job of personal protection and install security software to prevent viruses in mobile phones and computers. Keep alert to the security of personal accounts, especially the login of unfamiliar devices, to prevent wechat, QQ and other stolen accounts from causing trouble to relatives and friends.

4. For apps that are not commonly used, it is recommended to cancel personal accounts before uninstallation.

02. Remote transfer must require multiple verification, keep the "money bag" well

If someone claims to be a "family member", a "friend", a "teacher" or a "leader", through social media, SMS or email, he/she writes, "My mobile phone dropped in the water, the school needs to pay the tuition of the tutorial class urgently", "I am traveling abroad, and I need to help buy a plane ticket", "I need to do personal business for the leader, and I need to transfer money urgently", "I have a car accident, and I need an operation immediately", "in special circumstances, Need bridge funds to borrow "and other ways and reasons to induce you to transfer remittance, be sure to raise vigilance at the first time!

In the age of AI, text, sound, images and video are all likely to be deeply synthesized. In the typical scenario of transfer and remittance, funds should be verified by dialing back the other party's mobile phone number and other additional communication methods, do not just voucher a communication channel without verification of the direct transfer of money! No matter who it is!
