Recently, according to Mobile China,In the U.S., Samsung has released a security update for the Note 20 series in May, which focuses on fixing discovered security vulnerabilities and improving system security and stability.

According to foreign media reports, Samsung recently rolled out its latest security update in the US for the carrier-locked Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra models.
A total of 72 security flaws were addressed in the May security patch, six of which were classified as serious vulnerabilities affecting other Android phones and Samsung devices. In addition, 56 security fixes were classified as high level and 10 as medium level.
Among the vulnerabilities addressed by the update are those found in the FactoryTest function, ActivityManagerService, kernel pointer exposure in log files, topic manager, GearManagerStub, and Tips applications, according to Mobile China.
The security vulnerability extends to components such as the Shannon modem in the Exynos processor, the boot loader, the telephone framework, the call setup component, and AppLock access control.
The May 2023 security update is currently available for carrier-locked Note 20 series devices on Sprint and T-Mobile networks in the United States. Users can check for updates by navigating to Settings > Software Update and selecting Download and Install.
Samsung launched the Note 20 series in 2020,Originally running Android 10, it was an old model.
Foreign media said the devices were updated to Android 11 at the end of 2020, Android 12 at the end of 2021, and received Android 13 updates at the end of 2022.
