Huawei has launched a global launch of satellite communications on the Mate50 series, which enables mobile phones to communicate in emergencies even when there is no signal through Beidou satellite messaging.

At present, Huawei has supported a number of models such as Mate50, Mate X2, Mate X3, P60, nova 11 series and so on. It is the manufacturer with the most satellite communications and the only one made in China.

And at present, P60 and other models have realized the second generation technology, able to two-way communication.

At the recent Huawei Mobile Phone Innovation and Technology media communication conference, some media asked what breakthroughs the new generation of Beidou has compared with the previous generation?

Huawei Bruce Lee said: "About the Beidou short message, I think it is not a breakthrough of Huawei, but a breakthrough of China's science and technology, is the improvement of our comprehensive national strength, is the progress of basic industry, basic technology. Chinese users have the opportunity to become the first in the world to use two-way Beidou satellite messaging, which allows them to use it anytime and anywhere flexibly."

He also mentioned that another vendor that supports satellite messaging (namely Apple's iPhone 14 series) has a cumbersome five-step process for satellite messaging, and can't send messages to any user, only to rescue centers, limiting usage scenarios.

While Huawei satellite message can be as convenient as SMS, can send any user peace news, but also the two sides can carry out simple communication, which is more practical in most cases.
