Are there really aliens? NASA brings you some hope.
It is reported that NASA has discovered a ldquo; super-Earth-rdquo; exoplanet and detected signs of gas that only organisms can produce, thus making an exciting and possibly breakthrough discovery in the search for extraterrestrial life.
The exoplanet-ldquo;K2-18 biconrdquo; is more than eight times the size of Earth, smaller than Neptune in the solar system, 120 light-years away and in the habitable zone of Leo's cold dwarf.
In the atmosphere of K2-18b, a gas, ldquo; dimethyl sulfoxide & rdquo;, was found in the atmosphere of K2-18b-rdquo;, which is unique to ldquo; and life.
If this discovery is confirmed, K2-18b, like Mars and the ice moons of Jupiter and Saturn in the solar system, will become one of the most likely worlds for extraterrestrial life.
Large amounts of carbon dioxide and methane are also found in the atmosphere of K2-18b, which indicates that it is habitable and may even be inhabited.
This undoubtedly shows that K2-18b is a ldquo; ocean-rdquo; world, but because these two gases can be produced through inorganic processes, they themselves can not prove the existence of extraterrestrial life.
