[Mobile China News] Recently, former Meizu executive Li Nan made a controversial micro blog. He said Apple was aware of the iPhone's signal problems, but chose not to improve it because Jobs didn't think the Industrial design (ID) of a phone with a good signal was attractive enough.
Li pointed out that despite the fact that so many users in China have used iphones for so many generations, the RF problem is not really a factor affecting product performance. He mentioned that brands such as Qualcomm Baseband, Xiaomi, OPPO and vivo are also using similar RF technology, and small differences in antenna performance have little impact on daily use experience. He also stressed that if Apple wants to make a phone with better radio frequency performance, it is completely easy. However, Apple has been sacrificing some RF performance in order to better refine the phone's exterior design.
In addition, Li Nan also said that many people may not realize that the semi-metal integrated fuselage design of Huawei Mate60 will also have an impact on antenna performance.
But at least Huawei's Mate60 series looks a lot better than the iPhone. Previously, some users tested the network speed of Huawei Mate60 Pro, Xiaomi 13 Ultra and Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max in Shenzhen Metro Line 6 at the same time, and the Huawei Mate60 Pro measured the network speed of 253Mbps, and the Xiaomi 13 Ultra measured the network speed of 198Mbps. The iPhone 14 Pro Max is 0Mbps.
