Tesla filed its application in November 2022, and eight months later, the plan was approved by the city of Los Angeles, which issued a license on July 18, 2023. On August 9, the preliminary grading inspection was completed and approved, so Tesla has essentially been given the green light to finally move forward with the project.
The project's architects are Stantec Architecture, based in Chandler, Ariz., and the contractor is PCL Construction Services Inc., based in Glendale, Calif.
