You know, the Core Ultra processor made by the Intel 4 process will not be officially released until December 14.
As early as February 2022, Ericsson disclosed that it would use Intel's new process to manufacture chips, but did not disclose the details, until today to confirm the use of Intel 4.
Ericsson has also locked up the Intel 18A to make future 5G chips.The process, scheduled for mass production by 2025, is expected to allow Intel to regain its process leadership.
There are several versions of Ericsson's Intel 4 5G chips, with 6672 and 6372 focusing on high capacity, four times larger than today, and using Chiplet grain design, and 6678 and 6671 focusing on high energy efficiency, claiming power consumption 30-60% lower than the industry standard.
Clearly, the Intel 4 process has made a significant contribution.
According to Intel,The Intel 3 process has won an order from a large data center customer, and even paid for it in advance; Intel 18A technology and Arm reached a series of cooperation.
