Fast science and technology news on December 5, according to domestic media reports, Jiangnan Shipbuilding (Group) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Shipbuilding Group Co., Ltd., at the China International Maritime Technology academic Conference and Exhibition in 2023.Officially released the world's first type, the world's largest 24000TEU nuclear-powered container ship design.

At the scene of the launching ceremony, DNV Classification Society issued a certificate of recognition in principle to Jiangnan Shipbuilding.

It is reported that the ship adopts the international advanced fourth-generation reactor molten salt reactor solution and puts forward the ship type design of super-large nuclear energy container ship in order to truly realize ldquo; zero emission & rdquo; in the ship's operation cycle.

The operation of the reactor at high temperature and low pressure avoids core melting in principle and has the characteristics of non-proliferation and inherent safety.

There is no need to withstand high pressure vessels and pipelines, even if a break accident occurs, it solidifies rapidly under the ambient temperature. After the accident, in addition to the normal shutdown means, the fuel salt can also be discharged from the reactor to achieve rapid shutdown to prevent the accident from spreading.

The whole ship adopts all-electric scheme, and the propulsion system adopts dual-motor, double-shaft propeller and double rudder, which has high installed power, high speed and good maneuverability.

The supercritical carbon dioxide generator set is used in the main power supply, the nuclear power system adopts compact modular design, the power system efficiency is high, and the real ldquo; net zero-rdquo; emission can be realized.
